Despite the boom in ski resort development in Canada’s British Columbia, buoyed up further by the coming 2010 Winter Olympics, the owner and operator of Hemlock Valley Ski Resort, is seeking qualified joint venture investor partners or purchasers to operate and acquire the resort in south western British Columbia.
Hemlock Valley is an established alpine ski resort, situated in a high alpine bowl of the Coast Mountain Range, approximately 100 kms (65 miles) east of Vancouver.
The resort has been in operation for nearly 30 years, with four lifts, over 30 ski runs and approximately 250 hectares of novice, intermediate and advanced ski terrain based on 1200 feet of vertical drop. Existing up-hill capacity for the lifts is approximately 2700 persons/hr. Average total accumulated snowfall during the winter exceeds 850 cms.(30ft.)
The resort includes a day lodge, with restaurant, bar, rental/retail shop, maintenance facility and other buildings. The base area of the resort contains a range of existing multi family and single family homes, with future development opportunities.

Ralph Berezan aquired the resort in a court sale October 2006. He has since invested over $11 million in repairs and refurbishments. Berezan management is currently preparing to tender a major development plan to the provincial government that will see the resort become the second largest ski area in the lowermainland after Whistler.
