A Flurry of visitors come to SkiRebel Magazine

Since the launch of the popular skirebel.com portal in February, SkiRebel Magazine has managed to increase traffic by 48% over the past five months. What started off as a pretty normal month in terms of visits and page views, quickly emerged into the busiest month with some days experiencing traffic increases by more than 80%.

‘We are really pleased to see these beneficial results so early on and specially during an off-peak season. This is really looking good for the upcoming 2007-2008 ski season when we will be releasing a number of new site features,’ said SkiRebel Magazine editor, Mike Styles.

While some of the visit increases can be credited with the ski season starting up in the southern hemisphere, SkiRebel Magazine experience a surge of visitors coming from the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.

Mike Styles credits the increase in visits due to an editorial and marketing strategy that was well thought out. ‘We have received many comments from our readers from around the world. As well, many other ski sites have included us within their search directories and links as recognition of the quality content we offer. We are encouraged by the feedback we have received and feel that we are well on the way to being a major partner in the online snowsport industry.’

Some of the key sections that were of particular interest to the growing audience of SkiRebel Magazine include the film section of site as well as the environment news and the indoor snowdome news. These feature sections compliment well the news sections from around the globe as well as the other information tips on the site. There are more than 1,500 registered and tagged articles on SkiRebel Magazine and the vision is to become one of the largest snow websites within the next five years.

While there is still some advertising inventory left for the 2007-08 ski season, it is selling out quickly and advertisers are already on board with some of the new features that will be introduced this coming fall.
